Automation (Home Assistant)

Home Assistant runs as a VM on immichbox but behaves as a fully independent device on the network thanks to NIC passthrough. It's available at 192.168.4.40:8123 or homeass.lan.

The primary integration with the rest of the lab is through Ollama. attic-gremlin runs Ollama (port 11434) to serve a local LLM that Home Assistant uses for natural language features. Ollama exposes a Prometheus metrics endpoint at localhost:11434/metrics — it's configured as a scrape target but not yet fully verified.

ExpressVPN runs on immichbox as a daemon. The VPN tunnel appears as tun0 and is most likely used to route qBittorrent traffic. It's not currently monitored — see Future Work.

Matrix Synapse is also running on immichbox at /opt/venvs/matrix-synapse/. It was not part of the original design but is present and active. It exposes a Prometheus metrics endpoint at /_synapse/metrics that could be added as a scrape target.
